The Tink@School closing conference and last Partners’ Meeting was organised and kindly hosted at the University of Iceland, in Reykjavik, between 25 and 27 September.
On September 25th, Partners gathered at the “Iceland Ocean Cluster” to discuss implemetation of the Tinkering Toolkit in the partner countries, as well as the project’s administration and logistics. Furthermore, after considering the project’s strong points, they discussed potential applications of the accumulated experience and knowhow in a future project or collaboration.
The day included also a targeted workshop with the teachers of Helgafellsskóli, a friendly, contemporary school with lots of engaging projects and dedicated teachers. Workshop facilitators were experts from NEMO, supported by all the partners.
The annual Education Conference, which has a significant teacher and student presence every year, this year was organised on 26 and 27 September.
The Tink@School project was present in both days of the Conference. On September 26th, our own Tinkering workshop (took place in Hybrid format) was an opportunity for us to adversite our project, the innovative methods employed in of Helgafellsskóli, and have a small taste of hands-on Tinkering!
On September 27, the final day of the conference, our partners attended some insightful English-language lectures about teaching methodologies and the application of artificial intelligence in education.
